25 suaves
25 Suaves are Pete and DJ Party Girl, two stellar individuals bent on rocking the hell out of everything. Pete was the dude beating the holy living shit out of his guitar in Couch and runs the Bulb label. Couch played no-wave in the nineties, when playing atonal spastic music didn't carry quite the cachet it does today. Bulb is the label that released the first Demolition Dollrods single, gave the world Andrew W.K., Wolf Eyes, etc. So it goes. So, where does this leave us? Rock Central. Conversely, 25 Suaves take a decidedly musical approach to, well, their music. Sure it's wound up real good and flying around pretty wildly, but it's musical. And I like the hell out of it. Side one of this 7” (the format of the millennium!) features Juan Rules. High speed and freaked up. The B is a sweet cover of C.O.C.'s Kiss of Death. Quality colored vinyl (it's actually a 7") and a bitchin' screened sleeve round out the deal. Get it and see them. Check out the websites. Tapes Records Bulb DJ Party Girl
